Sept. Muzzle Loader
A muzzleloader, opening day, and summer patterns to help crack down on that buck you have had your eyes on with all the off season trail camera pictures is not a bad way to kick things off. This season can be a very fun packed hunt that presents challenges, just as the other seasons do, but can also be very rewarding having the first crack on our properties. Mainly evening hunting is what we focus on when the deer movement is best, helping avoid pushing those bucks into an early nocturnal state.
Early Season Archery
The archery opener from September through October 20th offers our early-season hunting experience. This 7-day hunt allows you to target summer patterns and bachelor groups or take advantage of the first cold fronts in mid October as the pre-rut stage begins. Whether you’re hunting solo or with a group, this season is a perfect fit. Plenty of action can be found during this time. Make sure you pack all your hunting cloths the weather can change especially in a 7 day hunt.
Rut Archery
Oh the magic of hunting the rut in Kansas! Any diehard bow hunter would love to have the opportunity to hunt the rut in Kansas while watching buck after buck chasing does to no end! Here with us, it's very possible to fill that experience. Open fields, CRP, cedar rows, and many draws and creek bottoms give a full on Kansas experience as for finding that "ready for action" trophy buck. Along with rifle, this season is the most sought out season we offer here at Prairie Storm.
Dec. Rifle
A two week only season that presents all kinds of opportunities with getting that high success chance at the big boy you came to Kansas to find! Opportunity rate is very high during this season and anytime you add a rifle to the deal it gets that much higher. Chances at late season rut activity is possible as well. If this is something you or your group as always wanted to do, then don't wait. Bookings are extremely limited.
Late Season Archery
This hunt week will take place after the rifle season in December. This hunt can be a "sleeper" kind of experience. Relying a lot on food sources as in food plots and feeders, our deer will be looking for that much needed nutrition as we lead into the colder/harsher winter days ahead!
